Trio Sonatas by Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, who made his marks during the baroque era in Paris and composed various fine pieces. Composition of the musical instruments consists of the flute, which boasted overwhelming popularity at the time, the bassoon as the second part, and the claviorgan for the thoroughbass. The claviorgan is an instrument which combines a cembalo and a small organ, and its versatile tones are effectively reflected in the recording. While these three Italian virtuosos followed the musical language of French Baroque, they performed with superb elegance and an abundant sense of joy.
