The latest recording by Ian Bousfield, the principal trombone of the Vienna Philharmonic.
Bousfield, one of the top trombone players in the world, has undertaken to play masterpieces of Beethoven and Brahms' chamber music. Bousfield's superb technique and sense of music displays the new potential and lure of the trombone without distorting the original scores which were written for instruments such as the horn. Accompanying him are a promising young violinist as well as Bousfied's peer in the Vienna Philharmonic, Wilfried Kazuki Hedenborg, and the pianist Hiromi Okada is known for her active appearances as a solist, and also has an established reputation as a chamber music performer.
