A long-awaited solo album by Riyo Uemura, a competent violinist who has performed around the world, based mainly in Germany and Japan. She appeared with various orchestras on more than 80 occasions in Europe, and has often played all of Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, as well as all of Beethoven's Violin Sonatas in her concerts. Uemura is highly-esteemed for her stunning sound and superb sense of mode together with her clear expression.
In this album of Debussy and Ravel's sonatas for violin and piano, Uemura performs with the pianist Hiromi Okada for the first time to display their perfect harmonies.
