The second album of Rossini's 'Sonatas for Strings' contains the remaining 3 compositions of his 6 Sonatas (not included in HQMA-00003). These tantalizing works show characteristics of Rossini with full of rich melodies, and their ubiquitous originality surpasses expectations for so young a composer.
Berlin String Orchestra started performing in 1973. Its selected players consist mainly of Berlin Philharmonic members, together with master string musicians from Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and Deutsche Oper Berlin. The orchestra, having met the best repertoires to show their characteristics most satisfactorily, entices you to a sophisticated and precise performance of the highest degree of perfection while maintaining free and beautiful sound.
